Pasig unveils heritage and culinary tour to celebrate 450 years
Pasig City - In celebration of Pasig's 450th founding anniversary, the City Government of Pasig launched the Heritage and Culinary Tour on July 23, 2023. The maiden tour was attended by representatives from various local government offices and the 11th Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Councilor Corie Raymundo and Councilor Quin Cruz.
The Pasig City Heritage and Culinary Tour is a significant addition to the festivities, aiming to enrich public knowledge and appreciation for the city's historical landmarks. The tour focuses on exploring the built heritage sites in the Poblacion area, which holds a treasure trove of historical significance.
Among the noteworthy stops on the tour are the iconic Gabaldon Building of Pasig Central Elementary School, the Valentin Cruz Statue, and the scenic Bitukang Manok (Parian Creek). The tour also takes participants to the revered Museo Diocesano, the venerable Colegio del Buenconsejo, and the vibrant Plaza Rizal. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the storied Concepcion Mansion and the charming Bahay na Tisa.
Additionally, the tour showcases some of Pasig's famous delicacies, such as Aging's Food Delight and Ado's Panciteria, providing a delightful culinary experience for the participants.
