Pasig city approves key resolutions for development
Pasig City - The City Development Council (CDC) held its third meeting for the year 2023 on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Chardonnay, Oranbo, Pasig City. Attending the gathering were 167 representatives from barangays, civil society organizations (CSOs) that are members of the CDC, Sangguniang Panlungsod, department/office heads serving as members of sectorial committees, and representatives from various departments/offices of the Pasig City Government and the Department of the Interior and Local Government - Pasig Field Office.
During the 3rd CDC meeting, three proposed resolutions were discussed and approved, which include the Executive Legislative Agenda (ELA) 2023-2025, the 2nd Supplemental Annual Investment Program (AIP) for the year 2023, and the amendment of the list of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) to be funded under the 20% Community Development Fund (CDF) for the year 2023.
Before presenting the said resolutions, EnP. Priscella Mejillano (City Planning and Development Office) gave a comprehensive presentation on the ELA 2023-2025, followed by Atty. Jeronimo Manzanero (Office of the City Administrator) for the 2nd Supplemental AIP for the year 2023, and Mr. Al Edralin (Office of the City Mayor) for the amendment of the list of PPAs under the 20% CDF for the year 2023.
CDC members, particularly those representing CSOs and barangays, were given the opportunity to raise questions and clarifications before the resolutions were put to a motion for approval. By the conclusion of the CDC meeting, CDC Resolution Nos. 2023-004, 2023-005, and 2023-006 were successfully endorsed, signifying their official submission to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for further confirmation through City Council Resolutions.
The 3rd CDC meeting was led and facilitated by the City Planning and Development Office, serving as the Secretariat of CDC, with guidance and support from the Local Finance Committee. The event showcased Pasig City's commitment to effective governance and continuous development for the benefit of its constituents.
