The Quezon City government tapped various sectors to help out in the three-day national vaccination day that started Monday,  according to a report by Philippine News Agency.

Medical groups, the QC Police District, and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) were among those who dispatched additional health care workers to jabs site, including malls.

“We want to maximize the three days allocated for this vaccination drive,” QC Mayor Joy Belmonte said in a statement.

The BFP also joined the call for volunteers.

"Be a hero for our fellow Filipinos. Let's show our strength together," the agency's Facebook account posted on Sunday.

To date, the QC government has already administered 3,948,667 doses, with 1,853,106 as second doses that enabled the city to post a 109.01 percent rate from its target adult population.

Meanwhile, 175,772 minors aged 12 to 17 years old have at least the first dose.

As vaccination efforts continue, the city’s active Covid-19 cases are down to 645 as of Sunday, or 0.36 percent of the total 179,572 infections.

The 177,316 recoveries represent 98.74 percent of total cases while there were 1,611 fatalities.

QC aims to vaccinate 150,000 until Wednesday, mostly using its remaining procured AstraZeneca jabs.
