The Pasig Sta. Lucia Realtors defeated the Pasay Voyagers, 71-68, in the main game on Saturday of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Lakan Season.

Inside the packed Pasig Sports Center, the Realtors claimed their first home court win of the season.

Pasig’s Robbie Manalang scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter, including two three-pointers in the last two minutes of the game.

Manalang sunk a triple in the final 1:57, pulling up Pasig to a 64 to 61 lead.

Another triple, this time from Jeric Teng at 1:05, helped widen the gap to six, at 67-61.

A counter-offensive by Pasay, courtesy of a three-pointer from Jan Jamon and a layup off a steal from Teng by Axel Iñigo, closed the gap to 67-66 with only 48 seconds left in the game.

With Pasig in possession of the ball, Manalang managed to maneuver for his fourth triple of the game, with 27 seconds remaining.

The crucial three-pointer gave Pasig a four-point cushion, at 70-66.

Teng contributed 16 points to his team and wrangled 11 rebounds, finishing the game with a double-double performance.

Another home game is slated for the Realtors, as they welcome the Rizal Golden Coolers on July 22.

The Voyagers will return on July 12, when they face the Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan, Laguna.
