Meralco to support Pasig's medical scholarship program
Pasig City and Manila Electric Company signed an agreement for a medical scholarship program, according to a report by Daily Tribune.
Mayor Vico Sotto said five scholars will get a 5-year full scholarship at the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.
Scholars would be given financial assistance covering tuition and other school fees, allowance for books, transportation, etc., Sotto added.
Meanwhile, the Pasig City Council for Culture and the Arts held a virtual meeting to discuss the cultural mapping of the city.
“We will do this with the help of Pasigueño historians. It was postponed in 2020 at 2021 because of Covid-19,” Sotto said.
“By the way, the return of PASKOTITAP this December 2022 has a budget already. Let us pray that the situation in the Covid-19 will really improve, so that all this can continue,” the mayor added.
