DILG allows tricycle operations in Pasig
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) approved the use of tricycles under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
Sotto, in a Facebook post shared the latest development to his constituents. “Good news! Inaprubahan na ng DILG and Pasig LGU guidelines para sa operations ng mga tricycle (The DILG has approved Pasig’s guidelines on tricycle operations),” the Pasig mayor’s post read.
The local chief executive recognized the need for public transportation especially since under the MECQ some business establishments will be allowed to operate. “Magiging malaking tulong ang mga tricycle para masolusyonan ang kakulangan sa mobilidad ng mga empleyadong Pasigueño sa paraan na may social distancing pa rin,” Sotto said in his post.
